Christian Dior Vintage Slip Dress — Reworked by Bella Cinquini A vintage Christian Dior slip in soft white fabric, reimagined with dramatic, flowing sleeves and delicate lace trim. Originally finished with cap sleeves, the silhouette has been transformed with voluminous, flared sleeves that lend the piece a romantic, almost ethereal quality. The length has been considerably shortened, creating a playful contrast between the delicacy of the original slip and its more expressive proportions. A vintage foundation, given new life through thoughtful reconstruction.

- Reworked by Bella Cinquini. The original cap sleeves were removed and replaced with dramatic, flared sleeves finished with lace detailing. The original length was substantially shortened to create a mini silhouette. The existing garment was preserved as the foundation for the reconstruction.

Where it began. One of the earliest pieces reworked by Bella Cinquini, this vintage Christian Dior slip holds a special place in the evolution of the label. The original garment offered a starting point: a simple slip with delicate proportions and the potential for something more expressive. Its cap sleeves were replaced with dramatic, flared sleeves finished with lace, while the length was shortened to transform the original silhouette into something lighter, more playful, and distinctly romantic. The result exists somewhere between a vintage nightdress and a modern statement piece, balancing the intimacy of the original garment with the drama of its new form. For Bella Cinquini, this piece represents the beginning of an ongoing practice: finding beauty in what already exists, then reconsidering it through the hand of the maker. Not starting from scratch, but allowing an existing garment to become something unexpected.
