1994 Orange Tab Levi’s — Reworked Denim A pair of 1994 straight-leg Levi’s Orange Tab jeans in faded, worn-in blue denim. Defined by their classic five-pocket construction, relaxed straight-leg silhouette, and distinctive orange tab, they retain the character of vintage denim while offering a considerably more refined fit. Reconstructed by Bella Cinquini, the waist was taken from 41 inches to 26 inches, with extensive alterations to the inseam and outseam. The rise was also lowered, creating a more contemporary silhouette while preserving the original denim's lived-in character. Vintage denim, reconsidered through the art of reconstruction.

- Extensively reconstructed by Bella Cinquini. The waist was reduced from 41 inches to 26 inches, with alterations to both the inseams and outseams. The rise was lowered to achieve a less high-waisted fit, requiring substantial reshaping of the original garment. The original denim, wash, and Orange Tab detailing were preserved.
The Tale
A second life in denim. Dating to 1994, these Levi’s Orange Tab jeans were selected for their worn-in wash and unmistakable vintage character. Originally measuring a 41-inch waist, they presented an opportunity to reconsider the proportions of a classic denim silhouette. Bella Cinquini undertook an extensive reconstruction, reshaping the waist from 41 inches to 26 inches and reworking both the inseams and outseams. The rise was lowered as well — a transformation that required reconsidering the garment's proportions from waist to hem. Rather than treating vintage denim as untouchable, this piece approaches it as a material with room for reinvention. Its original character remains, while its construction has been reconsidered for a new wearer. A familiar American staple, transformed by hand.
