The Tale

The Stevie Dress was born out of an obsession with the 1970s- and, most notably, Stevie Nicks. There's something about the way people dressed in the '70s that has always fascinated me. The clothes felt romantic and undone at the same time: layers of lace, sheer fabrics, flowing silhouettes, and pieces that seemed to move with the person wearing them. Stevie Nicks became one of the strongest references for this piece. Her use of lace, movement, and femininity never felt overly polished- it felt mysterious, personal, and almost otherworldly. I wanted the Stevie Dress to capture that feeling. The lace, the silhouette, and the softness of the dress are all rooted in the visual language of 1970s fashion, while the piece itself is reimagined through Bella Cinquini's lens.
